Hewlett-Packard has another good product to boast in the market. Their new HP Officejet H470wbt is extra portable that users find it very convenient to use. Commands are comprehensive and well organized buttons including the power, paper feed, and cancel can be expected. Weighing only 4.5 lbs makes it extra portable and convenient carry anywhere anytime. Measuring 13.4 in X 3.2 in X 6.5 makes it easy to fit into any bag or briefcase.
The design is elegant, draped in black with rounded edges makes a perfect combination. All ports needed to connect a camera and other devices are available at the rear of the printer. The memory cards such as SD memory card and MultiMediaCard may be right in the back near the USB port only.
The print quality is good with the printed output with resolutions 1200 dpi x 1200 dpi for black and white prints and 4800 dpi x 1200 dpi for color prints. HP Officejet H470wbt uses two ink cartridges, one for black and the other for color printing. A standard black ink to print an average of 500 pages and a color cartridge can print up to 330 regular prints. There are also compatible for the cartridges.
HP Officejet H470wbt can be connected either wired or wireless. However, there is no built in wireless gateway, but the machine is capable of wireless access. An HP wireless external adapter is available for the function. For easy connection to a computer, the USB connection can be used. PictBridge is an added bonus also for connectivity purposes.
The printer tray can hold up to 50 pages of plain paper, the common number of any portable printer. Some portable printers only may have 30 pages. The entries may be legal size, cards, envelopes, photo paper and index cards. Printing images fast and good can be expected in formatting documents.
H470wbt is compatible with most operating systems, including those for devices regular phones and computers. The regular computer operating systems include Mac OS X 10.3.9, Mac OS X 10.4 and higher, Linux, Microsoft Windows 2000, Microsoft Windows XP Professional and Microsoft Windows Vista. For mobile devices, the supported operating systems include Palm OS, Microsoft Windows Mobile for Pocket PC, Novell NetWare 5.x and Novell NetWare 6.x
Included in the box is HP Officejet H470wbt, CD containing the driver and other applications, power adapter, consumer products including black cartridge and a color cartridge, and manual.
