Reset Gear

If you are planning on buying a line of sight, or have already done so, you probably noticed some commonly used different labels. Since the purchase of something well as a luxury Swiss Watch can be a very complex process, we will discuss one aspect, "movement". Actually there are 3 types of motion available in the market today day.

• Mechanical Movement – The movement is driven by a series of gears that operate out of a wound spring. The spring energy is released slowly, as the gears turn. This was the first type of clock movement, and it takes a lot of skill and ability to create. The clock must be rewound approximately every 36 hours or so, and having the time of replacement. Many users of mechanical clocks into the habit rewinding every day, to avoid having to reset the time.

• Automatic Movement – Automatic movement is the same mechanical movement which harnesses the power of a spring wound, however, the oscillation is wound automatically. There is a rotor mechanism on the clock, which uses the natural movement of the user to see moving the rotor, and the winds of spring. These watches feature all the craft skills of people with mechanical motion, without having to wind them manually. Note that these clocks may gain or lose a few minutes a month, so you must adjust the time on a regular basis.

• Quartz movement – The most reliable and exact type of movement is a quartz movement. This type of motion using a battery that sends a charge electricity through a quartz crystal. The glass ranges to 32,000 vibrations per second, to feed a motor that moves the hands accurately (within 0.5-2 seconds day). With these clocks, the battery needs to be changed once every eighteen months. Swiss quartz movement combines some of the gears of mechanical movement, with the Quartz movement power. That do not require clearance and little or no lubrication of gears, as do mechanical movements. The quartz movement in general are also very profitable for the watch and consumers.

Regarding the term "Swiss movement", this refers only to where was noted in the clock. To be labeled Swiss movement, 50% of the parts must be Swiss movement, and movement must be assembled and inspected in Switzerland.
