What is the digital camera function that lets you take a photo in black and white, however, remains one of the colors?
I'm looking for to buy a new digital camera and am looking for the camera that has the characteristic that makes a black and white photo but leaving one color. What i for search?
As Perki said, the Canon does a poor attempt at it. You can select the exact item you want to remain in color. You just to tell the camera of a particular color, not to desaturate, and none of that color in the photo is in color. It works poorly at best. What I do is done with the editing software Photo and makes no difference what the camera used. HOW to do it in the software are prompted at least 20 times a day here, so you can find the answer and I also copy and paste my stock answer I finally had to write to keep answering this question will never end. You can use the GIMP to color selectively. It's free to download. This is written as referred to Photoshop, but the same procedure should work in GIMP, possibly with some minor changes in the names of tools. First open your photo in your editing program .. Then go to Layer – Duplicate Layer Click OK and then go to Image – Adjustments – Hue / Saturation Drag Saturation slider fully left to take the photo in black and white. Click OK and then get the Eraser tool from the toolbox in the left side of the screen. Usually, the next tool in the Clone Stamp tool. Just move your mouse over the tool, and tell Draft. When selected the draft, go to the Brush options box at the top of the screen, and click the arrow downfacing. Set the brush hardness to 100% in the have precise control over the selection. You may also need to increase or decrease the brush size to demand. Erase away any black and white where you want the color to be revealed. When you go to Layer – Flatten Image Then just do a Save As to where to save the photo. steve
